Buying a home?

Here's a brief outline of our process, and what we do.

  1. Initial consultation. We help identify what your goals are, price range, needs and wants, and answer questions about climate, schools, etc, and establish a plan. If desired, and you haven't done so already, we'll set you up on email alerts for new properties in your price range.
  2. Identify properties. In a good week, during Brokers Tour, we will often see 40 properties in two days, from Novato to Sausalito. You'll get the benefit of that market knowledge, as we can tell where the good deals are.
  3. Putting in an offer. We'll run the comps, help figure out a strategy for what the price and terms should be, and negotiate on your behalf through the offer process.
  4. Financing. We have several excellent lenders we work with, and will put you in touch with them to make sure you get the best financing package possible.
  5. Inspections. We have a number of pest inspectors, home inspectors, structural engineers, you name it - and will advise you on what inspections to conduct, help you evaluate the results, and if necessary, negotiate on your behalf for repairs.
  6. Close of Escrow. We even come to the signing, just in case there are any last minute questions or glitches. Again, our job is to make this painless and worry free for you.
  7. After purchase, we'll stay in touch. Need a handyman to fix a door? Painters to re-do the hallway? We'll give you names and phone numbers of our most trusted, established workmen to help you get the job done.
